Steampunk Lite
I’ve always been attracted to the steampunk look. And what I like about it, is that it’s completely open to personal interpretation. To me, I’ve always thought it was a blend of old and future things and goggles. Worldwide Industries’ dirty roped skirt demonstrates that cobbled-together look. A charming representation of scraps of funky material, including newspaper, held together with safety pins and rope and a little bit of tulle netting.
I know a lot of people think WWI is hoochie wear, and granted, there is a fair share of it. But I’ve learned to become one with my inner hooch and embrace it. There’s a time and place for hoochie. WWI has helped me do that. I love their socks and their bikinis. I also think their re hair designs are completely underrated as well. I have a few styles that I adore .
I’ve paired up the dirty rope skirt with Gypsy Soul’s summer hoodie halter. I know I’ve posted it before, but I find myself going back to it for mixing. Also, check out the fun bottle top necklace from Bliensen.
And of course, steampunk to me is goggles and old leather. From Magika, a hair store I’ve been recently introduced to, comes this adorable leather cap plus goggles plus bunned hair.
