My challenge topic today is my choice. I can write about anything that’s on my mind.

Inhabiting a fairy figure for the evening was eye-opening. I found that other avatars are much more open to talking to me dressed as the whimsical creature pictured above than when I’m inhabiting the familiar sex-pot Volare shape. While dressed like this, I had a stranger IM me. After speaking briefly, he wanted to photograph me and gave me a copy of the edited version.  It was refreshing and charming.

I have always found it interesting that I can go to a crowded store on a $50L Friday (even on a hunt) and the store is wall-to-wall women all looking (more like waiting for the damn rezz) for the same item and no one is uttering a single word to each other.  Many of us girls, me included, are chatty by nature. So why is it, no one is speaking to each other? Are we all adopting the attitude of “Rezz-Inspect-Buy/Not Buy-Move on-kind of attitude? At times, the silence is deafening. Every so often I’ll notice  someone in local chat ask a question or speak, and I’m always willing to answer or say “hi.” The same thing goes for my fellow bloggers. If I see another blogger, someone who’s name I might recognize, but don’t know, I’ll most always say “hi” in local chat.

I don’t know how you feel, but the same doesn’t hold true for voice chat. There have been many times where I’ve had to turn off my sound because I didn’t want to listen to someone blathering on in public voice chat. That’s why Lindens invented the voice call. Simple, easy to use. Quick side trip….one day I was at a store and heard some male voices passionately discussing fashion. I thought, I have to see these men. I searched high and low with my cam in the large store, trying to track down the voices that were male, British, yummy-sounding and talking about clothes. I finally honed in on them, expecting to see some hunky avies dressed impeccably. Oh, well, they were dressed fab; I’ll give them that. However, imagine my dismay when all I could see was fur, long noses and sharp teeth. Don’t get me wrong, I have no issue with being a furry. It’s just that…well…I like my man candy sans fur.

To close out, I’ll just say that one of my favorite things to do is go shopping with my friends while on a voice call.  That way we can complain about the girl up front with the wings blocking what’s for sale on the wall.  /me coughs.
